She graduated with honors from Keiser University in 2016 with her Family Nurse Practitioner degree and earned her Doctorate in Family Nursing from Keiser University. In 2023, she graduated with honors with her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification, having also completed a Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Liberty University.

The Dr had a question about my insurance and rather than calling me before our session the Dr tried to have me verify everything during our call.. very unprofessional and not a good use of anyone’s time. She was able to quickly see that I was frustrated that we just canceled the call - so disappointing.

Dr. Pekarova was immediately calming to me which is something I’ve never experienced. She knew right away that I was going through something just by the look on my face and my words. Her feedback was so honest and truthful even if it was hard for me to hear. I couldn’t be more grateful to have had an appointment with her because if I hadn’t spoken to her when I did, I don’t know if I would’ve been able to get through these next few days. She’s so kind and warm. She lives in reality and almost immediately knows how you’re feeling when you describe it. The only regret I have is that I didn’t find Dr. Pekarova sooner. I can’t wait for our next visit!

Everything was so streamlined I almost didn’t think it was real after experiencing many failed attempts at finding a mental health doctor over the past several years, particularly through a website/app.
Marcela is absolutely amazing. So knowledgeable, kind and understanding. I never felt judged once and I feel like I’m truly in good hands with her. She listens to understand, not respond or throw you in a box. That’s a common issue I have found with mental health doctors and it leads to misdiagnosis and ineffective treatment.
I’ve suffered from different mental health issues for most of my life and she is a doctor who truly stands apart from everyone else. I’m eternally grateful I found her.
