Hello, I'm Peggy. Let's work together to help you feel better. This is a co-creative experience with a focus on solutions and feeling better. I believe in finding the 'touchstones' in your life with a strength-based perspective that focuses on personal growth. Through mindfulness practice in Emotionally Focused Therapy and emotional awareness, we will create a personalized, unique exploration into you, focusing on empowerment and enlightenment. In 2006, I graduated from The Colorado School of Professional Psychology with a Doctorate in Psychology. My Master's in Education from the University of California, Riverside provided me with a deep understanding of how children develop and learn. Before becoming a psychologist, I was an elementary, middle school, and high school teacher focusing on math and science. This background complements my understanding of the psychology within us. I have been a licensed psychologist in Colorado since 2005 and have been working in private practice for over seven years. Additionally, I work in a local emergency room with individuals in crisis and have done so for approximately ten years. Early in my career, I spent nine years with the Colorado Department of Corrections conducting evaluations, therapy, and treatment plans. I was also a Veteran's Choice provider and have worked with many veterans with PTSD. I specialize in working with anxiety, including PTSD, depression, relationship issues, and parenting styles. My extensive experience has allowed me to work with a wide variety of patients with various diagnoses. Changing the way we think empowers us and leads to positive change, including more satisfying relationships and greater clarity through which to view our world. My intent is to co-create a trusting, beneficial relationship with my clients in which you feel heard. If you're ready to embark on this journey towards personal growth and empowerment, I invite you to reach out. Let's find those touchstones together.
