Margarita Kos is a board-certified Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) and a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Illinois. Honestly, I have. And a really difficult
Time With this provider and staff.
I have had my appt time changed without notification or confirmation from my end AND I got charged a no-show even though I spoke to the staff saying I wouldn’t be able to make the appt time they switched me to. I also have had to re-fill out my intake Paperwork each time I have seen this practitioner which is ridiculous. Also, they never kept my card on file (although I requested them to) and wouldn’t allow me access to my appointment until I provided it…a 3rd time.
Furthermore, I expressed that I was really truly struggling with my ADD/depression and instead of the provider (who is a nurse btw, not a psychiatrist) refused to refill them until I took a 7-hr psych eval not covered by insurance even though I’ve been on this medication for years. I was pushed off the appt tho she was late to it. I felt unheard, rejected, &objectified like I was a seeker. let me just add that I am a physician myself.Disappointed

Really great experience. Ms. Kos took in all my information, asked the right questions, listed to what was going on and then she discussed my options and her opinions and perspective on the situation which were intelligent and based on clinical experience.
There was no pressure to go one way or the other, she just laid the facts out and let me decided on which path I thought was best for me.
Very grateful to have met a practitioner who is clearly great at what they do. Thank you.

I like that their practice has a patient portal with all of their forms and you can message them on there as well. Everyone seems really nice on the phone and Dr. Kos is so kind! Many of my past experiences with psychiatrists have felt really impersonal but it seems like she's going out of her way to not make it feel that way. She also gave me many resources.
