Maria Guerrero, PA

Physician Assistant
1500 W 38th St, Ste 20, Austin, TX
I am a board-certified Physician Assistant with a passion for family medicine, preventative care, and helping my patients live healthier, more balanced lives. I was born and raised in Mexico City, and my culture and heritage remain an important part of who I am. I have a deep appreciation for diversity and strive to create a welcoming environment where every patient feels heard, respected, and cared for. I earned my B.S.A. in Nutrition from The University of Texas at Austin and my Master of Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Austin. My background in nutrition has reinforced my belief that nutrition and lifestyle are the foundations of long-term health. I believe in balance, not perfection, and strive to work alongside my patients to create realistic, personalized treatment plans that fit their lifestyles, goals, and individual needs. I believe the best healthcare is a partnership, and I want my patients to feel empowered and confident in their health journey. I also believe that balance means making time for the things that bring you joy outside of medicine. I love traveling and experiencing new places and cultures, especially visiting Spain with my husband, who is from there. When I’m home, I enjoy spending time with my family in The Woodlands, trying new restaurants with friends, working out, and walking along the Lady Bird Lake Trail. I also have a creative side and love home décor, music, and fashion. I feel incredibly grateful to have a career that allows me to care for others while making time for the people, places, and passions that make life meaningful
