About Marie Newsom

I love my job. For me, the best part of primary care is getting to know families and being a part of their journey over the years. I am grateful to be a part of the family’s team and to collaborate with them on creating a health care plan. My goal is to help set up each child and family for success. I like to use that as the framework for helping all of my patients. In addition to primary care, I’m also board-certified as a pediatric mental health specialist. Many aspects of wellness are tied back to mental health, making it a critical part of pediatric care. There is so much value in helping kids learn how to negotiate their emotions and actions starting at a young age. I’m driven by the opportunity to help kids reach their extraordinary potential. I earned my Master’s in Nursing from Columbia University, which has deeply informed my approach to comprehensive, compassionate care.
