About Marina Doktorman
Marina Doktorman was born in Ukraine and immigrated to United States at the age of 15. She received her B.A. degree in Psychology from Long Island University, Brooklyn, NY in 1997.
Marina Doktorman, L.Ac, Dipl.Ac., is a nationally board certified acupuncturist since 2001 and licensed in NY and NJ states. She first worked in NYC in a multi-specialty clinic before establishing her private practice in 2005, in Clifton, NJ.
She was trained in Oriental Medicine (acupuncture, herbal medicine and complimentary modalities) at one of the leading institutions- Tri-State College of Acupuncture in NYC. The program consisted of over 3500 of instruction in acupuncture and oriental medicine as well as western biomedical studies.
In Tri-State College of Acupuncture she studied various acupuncture techniques and styles, including Auriculo-acupuncture, Japanese Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, Moxabustion, Cupping, Electro-Acupuncture.
She was an intern in Sidney Hillman Clinic in NYC treating HIV/AIDS patients. After graduating Tri-State College of Acupuncture with Master Degree in Acupuncture (June, 2001), she has been constantly enhancing her knowledge and practice by studying acupuncture and non-acupuncture modalities with world renowned practitioners such as Kikko Matsumoto, Jeffrey Yuen and Richard Tan among others.

Gorgeous office space, so quiet and zen, makes it very easy to relax if it’s your first time trying acupuncture or just need to leave your day at the door. Everyone is kind and attentive to your specific needs, and they even have bottled water when you leave in case you forgot yours. Highly recommended!

I went in for a really bad knot in my back that was extremely painful and keeping me up at night. She did the acupuncture, electro stim, and cupping. The whole thing got me feeling 70% better. I am not currently in pain all day long. Definitely going back and definitely recommend.

She was amazing. Her space was beautiful. She’s calming - just her presence alone -, she was knowledgeable, she was accommodating. She offers a lot of things that are amazing to be able to get done by a single provider, which makes everything more convenient on the front & back ends & effective during (eg, not having to get up from my acupuncturist to go to get my cupping done - I feel like the benefits are compounded, plus it saves me time traveling to each, not to mention how nice it is not to have to put on & take off my clothes and extra time lol).
The treatment space was great. I’m always freezing but that wasn’t a problem (dear reader, it is always a problem) in her office. There’s a heated table and a lamp.
Her hours are convenient, there isn’t a huge annoying office staff.
Really just a dope experience.

Marina is an expert in her field. She is well known for her skills in pain management but her expertise extends far beyond that. No matter what issue is presented, I can be sure I will be listened to and treated specifically for my needs. Marina has years of practice and hundreds of hours of intensive training in acupuncture of her fingertips. She is compassionate, kind, smart, caring, and never rushed. I can expect her to always go extra mile.
