Getting to know Dr. Mario Lintz
Welcome! I'm Dr. Mario Lintz, MD, PhD, a Board-Certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist. I am a Colorado native and completed my general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. I specialize in psychiatric diagnosis and medication management for all ages, with a focus on adolescents and young adults. I am comfortable assessing, diagnosing, and treating a full range of mental health conditions, including depression and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, substance use disorders, and sleep concerns.
I practice safe, evidence-based medicine and believe in a collaborative approach to determine the best treatment plan for you. I see you as the expert in your life and value building partnerships to combine our expertise. Together, we will develop a treatment plan to help you achieve your wellness and mental health goals. I am a strong advocate for patient education, as I believe understanding symptoms and treatment options empowers you to advocate for yourself. I will ensure you understand my recommendations so that you are fully informed about your treatment.
I currently offer telemedicine services on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and Friday afternoons (Mountain Time). I do not offer primary psychotherapy services at this time, though I work with patients using various supportive therapy strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and other modalities as needed. Evidence shows that combining medication with therapy yields the best results, and if you need a regular therapist in addition to medications, I can refer you to a SonderMind therapist.
