Philosophy of care My philosophy of care as a nurse practitioner is to acknowledge your individuality while providing holistic compassionate care, educating you and your family, and promoting a health care environment that is therapeutic and respectful of all human beings. My goal is to engage with each patient, listen to their story and get to know them to create a trusting health care partnership. Why I entered medicine I became a nurse practitioner to care for my patients on a different level. I love to solve and investigate complex health problems. There's nothing more gratifying than to see a patient recover from a serious illness after helping put the pieces together like a puzzle. I absolutely love it and I also love to see the smile on the patient and families face. Personal interests My personal interests are listening to music, especially Latin and classical. I also like to work out. I currently take kickboxing classes, and have found it not only helps with stress, but also is very satisfying. I also enjoy socializing. I enjoy work activities that promote learning and personal development.
