About Dr. Mariyam Wasay
Dr. Mariyam Wasay is a board-certified physiatrist specializing in interventional spine and musculoskeletal medicine. She joined Timothy Groth MD PC on May 19, 2025. Prior to this, she completed her fellowship in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic and her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Stony Brook University Hospital, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident.
Dr. Wasay earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from NYIT. Throughout her training, she was actively involved in leadership roles, research, and quality improvement initiatives, presenting at national conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Wasay is passionate about mentorship and community service, with extensive volunteer experience supporting pediatric, elderly, and hospital-based programs. She is fluent in Urdu, Hindi, and English, and is committed to delivering patient-centered, culturally sensitive care. Outside of medicine, she enjoys fitness, reading, fine dining, and following the NBA.

Dr.Wasay was very professional and took the time to explain things I had questions on. so far all the visits I’ve had with Dr Wasay have been informative and helpful. Also, the staff was very accommodating and friendly, can’t ask for more than that.

Dr. Wasay was fantastic! She goes above and beyond what is necessary. Which is something that I experience only at Dr Groth’s offices. Everybody that I’ve ever seen at both offices have been nothing but excellent. Dr was say does go above and beyond and met all my expectations. I appreciate doctors like that.

The last two appt we have been seen pretty quickly, office staff every sweet and helpful especially recommending a office to take x-ray in less than 30 min so we can return back to the office to have a solution to the pain.
