About Dr. Marjorie (Margie) Navarro

Dr. Margie Navarro, DAOM, LAc, earned her doctorate from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine and holds a master’s in Acupuncture from Tri-State College of Acupuncture. She also completed a Certificate in Herbal Medicine at Pacific College of Health and Science. Dr. Navarro provides both preventative and holistic medicine through an integrative practice in lower Manhattan (FiDi & Union Square). Working primarily in sports and orthopedic medicine for over a decade, she mastered the technique of myofascial trigger-point release, skillfully unraveling muscular and connective tissue tension.
Her secondary specialty includes treating chronic mental-emotional conditions on the depression-anxiety spectrum, as well as digestive, hormonal, and immune symptoms. With hundreds of hours of advanced Herbal Medicine studies, she now partners with a pharmacy to create custom formulas. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Navarro researches acupuncture in conjunction with psychedelic therapy and thrives on resolving complex conditions.

Margie is really flexible with her hours and locations, always going out of her way to make time for me and my crazy schedule. She is friendly and chatty -- but not too chatty -- and really pays attention to what's going on in my body. She knows my aches, pains, and injuries intimately and always has good suggestions for me that go well beyond the session we are in. She's a great part of my health care team. I see her as often as I can, which is made extra easy because she takes insurance and does all the billing so I don't have to. What more could you ask for?

Margie is amazing! She has helped my fibromyalgia and headache pain exponentially. She is also extremely nice and understanding (I've been late to appointments a few times and she's always still willing to see me). I've given her name to several friends and family members and always heard the same thing from them--fewer migraines, cured back pain, reduced shoulder pain, etc. I HIGHLY recommend her!

Margie is the best. She truly cares about her patients' well-being and brings expert technique to her practice. I was having major issues with leg muscle cramps and fatigue and she has not only helped me recover, but I am feeling and performing the best I ever have!

I've had such incredible experiences with Margie! She has helped me with so many various pains. She has a wonderful, wholistic approach, and you really feel cared for, which can be rare in the medical world. I don't know how she does it, but she tries to find the source of your issue, and works with you to bring you comfort and get you back in working order! Highly recommend!

Margie is incredible. She put me at ease, even though I have a major needle phobia. Her check-in process itself was very informative, and my shoulder is improving dramatically thanks to working with her. Talking with Margie, you can tell that she really listens and cares deeply about you as a patient and as a person. I can't recommend her highly enough.
