About Dr. Mark Merlin

Dr Merlin is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine, Mt. Sinai, New York City and Rutgers-NJ Medical School. He is trained in both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine. Clinically, he has worked in Adult and Pediatric Emergency Departments as well as a hospitalist, ICU coverage and urgent care centers. Dr. Merlin served as the Vice-Chairman of Emergency Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center for six years as well as founder/program director of the EMS Fellowship which he grew to the largest EMS fellowship in the country. He organized and led two medical missions with over 30 multi-specialty physicians to Haiti and Puerto Rico after having obtained approximately 1 million dollars in medical equipment and donations. This provided free healthcare and treatments to adults and children displaced by natural disasters and poverty.
