About Dr. Mark Merlin

Dr Merlin is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine, Mt. Sinai, New York City and Rutgers-NJ Medical School. He is trained in both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine. Clinically, he has worked in Adult and Pediatric Emergency Departments as well as a hospitalist, ICU coverage and urgent care centers. Dr. Merlin served as the Vice-Chairman of Emergency Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center for six years as well as founder/program director of the EMS Fellowship which he grew to the largest EMS fellowship in the country. He organized and led two medical missions with over 30 multi-specialty physicians to Haiti and Puerto Rico after having obtained approximately 1 million dollars in medical equipment and donations. This provided free healthcare and treatments to adults and children displaced by natural disasters and poverty. Currently, Dr. Merlin is the Chief Medical Officer of the “Life” companies in Livingston, New Jersey.
