Dr. Mark Seldon is a thorough, attentive cardiologist treating patients in New York City and the surrounding communities. His primary goal as a practitioner is to provide excellent care to each of his patients. He holds certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He is also a member of the American College of Cardiology. In order to pursue his medical degree, Dr. Seldon attended the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He continued his medical education at New York University, where he received residency training. Dr. Seldon has also completed a fellowship program at the Montefiore Medical Center. Patients visiting Dr. Seldon can receive a full range of medical services. He provides cardiac catheterization, exercise stress testing, echocardiograms, peripheral duplex scanning, and event monitoring. Dr. Seldon is very kind, knowledgeable, patience and caring doctor. I was promptly seen on appointment time. All the necessary procedures such as EKG, Echo cardiogram were done on site on the same day with friendly and highly professional Registered Technicians. The office can also provide other high quality cardiac ultrasonography which can also be done on the same day (if necessary) and you wouldn't have to worry about going back & forth or figuring out where to go to get these tests done. Overall experience is very satisfied and will recommend to everyone.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and Dr Seldon for very professional and explains everything in detail. He answered all my question and and advised me accordingly. I would recommend him to everyone.
The wait was ridiculously long for something as simple as an EKG. He didn’t seem to care about me or my comfort ability at all, and didn’t even tell me my results and if they were alright—he just gave me the charts to give to his receptionist to copy.

Smart, personable, courteous, & very open to questions, Dr. Seldon made me feel as though he'd seen me often, not just once before, over a year ago. It's not just that he clearly takes good notes; he really remembers & makes connections. I feel lucky that he's my cardiologist.
I feel that the doctor's expertise and experience are fairly deep. As a patient, I did not feel that the doctor was invested in my issue, and he and his staff were very detached and unconcerned. I visited the doctor at both locations, one in Union Square and one on the east side (which was a pain to get to). I was given a stress test in which the doctor cut me off as my blood pressure reading was too high. This caution is admirable, but the way my pressure was measured during the test seemed inconsistent, and the result didn't make sense to me. In any case, I went to a different cardiologist, and the way I was treated was vastly superior. My questions were answered, the doctor and his staff seemed to be working more in unison, and the doctor and his office followed through. The new doctor was more thorough, and gave me specifics when I asked about the nature of the problems and next steps. I am sure Dr Seldon has had a stellar career, and I wish him well, but when it come to your heart, you need to work with someone who communicates, and who give a darn about you.
While clearly knowledgeable (and with great staff on desk) Dr Sheldon was dismissive at first, to the point of being rude. He questioned the diagnosis or my referring physician and made me feel a bit uncomfortable about my concerns. He's very smart, no doubt; but have a thick skin.
I arrived a little early and was seen promptly upon signing registration form. Dr. Seldon is a seasoned clinician. He makes you feel cared for and heard. He spent 30 minutes talking with me before the actual examination. The technician was friendly and the front desk was seamless. A wonderful experience.
From my visit with Dr. Seldon I would say that Dr. Seldon is a great cardiologist. He is competent, caring, smart, patient, thoughtful, and experienced. He listened to my issues, examined me, performed the necessary tests, diagnosis, and recommendations. He thoughtfully answered every question I had. I was never rushed. I would definitely see Dr. Seldon again and wholeheartedly recommend others see him as well.

Great! Nice person who clearly knew what he was doing. Everything was explained to me and it was all done in one easily scheduled appointment with barely any waiting time.
He wasn't able to identify any cause of the symptoms I am having. He never followed up with me regarding my visit. Seems like his usual patients are 80+ years of age which I felt like made him not take my complaints as seriously as I would have liked. Too many comments like "you are too young to have heart problems", when I was looking to seriously diagnose my issues. My insurance company had to make a large payment for this visit which resulted in no help whatsoever.
He was kind of dismissive at the end which was weird. I think my heart pain was related to stress and anxiety but when none of the tests showed issue he acted like I was wasting his time. It was kind of awkward when I was leaving.

I went to him without a referral and when he realized I didn't have a cardiac problem, he put in a call to a friend, gave me a referral, and didn't charge me for the consult!
I know I'm younger than most patients, but after having to wait an hour ( granted I was a bit late ) he basically didn't even give me the time of day. Ran two tests and more or less dismissed me from his office. Would not go back
It's annoying that ZocDoc lists an option for a 9:00 a.m. appointment but that no one....staff or doctor....arrives until 9:15.

Dr. Seldon was nice. His office staff was a little confused when I asked what I thought were simple questions but this is not a reason to not go to him. I prefer a really warm beside manner because i am a little nervous at the doctor's office but all in all he was professional and prompt which I really appreciated. The women who did my additional tests was really wonderful and super friendly!
