“Dr. Vincent is amazing at what he does. He truly wants you to get better, not just keep coming back like other chiros I’ve seen. He is approachable, talks you through exactly what is going on, and is really flexible and responsive for scheduling. Within a few visits he had me back on my feet and feeling like myself again.”

“Dr. Mark Vincent is EXCELLENT. He has been treating me for over a decade (and he has been practicing for over 3 decades.) Above all he is the safest and most skilled chiropractor out of many I've seen in my lifetime. He has great knowledge of how to treat pain or discomfort either by careful adjustments, or by alternate and equally effective methods such as blocking, "gliding" [the neck], stretching, and using the body's own weight while guiding it to bring the spine into alignment. Dr. Vincent also can suggest reading material to help a person take care of oneself at home or while traveling. One of his suggestions saved me from terrible pain after an overnight flight to Europe - 10 minutes on the floor eliminated this pain and I was able to enjoy my trip. He also is very honest about how often a patient needs to come in, which is unique compared to all the other chiropractors I've seen in my lifetime who try to rack up the visits. I cannot recommend him enough.”

About Dr. Mark Vincent

"I opened Avalon Chiropractic in 1997 so I could work with patients as individuals. While there are common problems across a population, each person brings unique factors to the table. My approach investigates these aspects and treats them comprehensively. Together, we work not only to reduce pain, but to prevent future problems and support long-term health and fitness."Dr. Mark Vincent earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta, Georgia in 1994. He completed internships in South Florida and Hoboken, New Jersey before opening Avalon Chiropractic in Manhattan in 1997. The practice has served the New York City community for more than 25 years, remaining intentionally small and patient-focused throughout. This allows Dr. Vincent to work directly with each patient and emphasize continuity of care, communication, and long-term outcomes.Dr. Vincent's primary method is the Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), an in-depth system of analysis and adjustment designed to balance the structural, muscular, and neurological systems. When appropriate, care may also include conventional chiropractic adjustments or low-force techniques. Care begins with careful listening and functional assessment. Each visit focuses on posture, movement patterns, and how structural imbalances affect the body as a whole. There is no preset formula—treatment varies by patient and by visit, based on how the body responds over time. "I opened Avalon Chiropractic in 1997 so I could work with patients as individuals.
