About Mark Whitmer
Mark A. Whitmer, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant who sees patients at Southeast Medical Group's Walnut Creek location in McDonough.
Born and raised in Mendota, Illinois, Mark attended Valparaiso University (Valpo) in Indiana, where he earned a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, and psychology. He then completed his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.
With 17 years of experience, Mark welcomes new patients ages four and older. As a family medicine practitioner, he treats both acute and chronic illnesses and is passionate about preventative medicine. He is an active member of the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants (GAPA) and the American Academy of PAs (AAPA).
