Dr Zakaria is probably one of the best gynecologist I've ever been to next to Dr Noel. I was extremely pleased with Dr Zakaria all the way around, he made my appointment as comfortable as going to the gynecologist can be. Lets put it this way I wanted to see Dr Noel but she is so busy which is understandable and I was asked if I would mind seeing Dr Zakaria and I thought to myself if Dr Noel has confidence in him to be her partner then I will trust her opinion, well I'm glad I did because after my visit with Dr Zakaria I have made the decision that he will be my gynecologist for now on. He explained everything he was doing, step by step which definitely put my anxiety at ease and I left the office with complete knowledge of the entire visit, not many Drs care to keep you posted on what they're doing and he made sure that I had no questions and if I did he explained everything. His bedside manner is so well done that he should teach a class to Drs who lack in most areas. In my opinion, Dr Zakaria is a wonderful Dr and if you're considering changing your gynecologist this is the Dr to pick. Thanks Dr Zakaria

Dr. Zakaria is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship-trained in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. Originally from the midwest, Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree from the University of Michigan and completed medical school at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Detroit Medical Center and a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Zakaria’s practice philosophy centers on exploring all options for treatment, both nonsurgical and surgical, and strongly believes in providing patient-driven counseling, safe and compassionate care to all women.
Prior to private practice, Dr. Zakaria was an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Specialties at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He has also served as clinical instructor at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Dr. Zakaria has been an invited teaching faculty member for courses in advanced minimally invasive surgery techniques including robotics, advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.
