Dr. Marshall G. Monson, DPM is a highly trained foot and ankle surgeon with extensive experiences in clinical and surgical treatment aspect of achilles tendon, ankle arthroscopy, bunions, hammertoes, tendon tears and ruptures, lateral ankle stabilization, foot and ankle fractures, fungal toenails as well as other dermatologic issues associated with the foot and ankle.
Dr. Monson grew up in Casper, Wyoming and completed his undergraduate education in Utah at the Brigham Young University to receive a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Developmental Biology. He then obtained his medical degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University, where he graduated in the top of his class and is part of the Phi Delta honors society. He continued to complete his surgical residency at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM, and completed his 3rd year of residency at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center at North Valley, CA. During his residency, Dr. Monson received training by many renown physicians in specialties in foot and ankle reconstructions as well as total ankle replacements.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Monson enjoys fishing, snowboarding, and traveling. Dr. Monson practices at the Rocklin, Folsom, and the Sacramento (J st) offices. He is on staff at Sutter Roseville, Mercy General, Mercy Folsom, and Mercy San Juan.
