About Dr. Martin A. Malz
Dr. Malz, Board Certified in Internal Medicine, graduated from La Salle University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1974. He earned a Master of Science degree from PCO in 1976, a Doctor of Optometry degree from PCO in 1978, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Jagiellonian University Medical College in 1984. He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Mercy Catholic Medical Center, becoming a specialist in Internal Medicine in 1989.
In 2008, Dr. Malz became a United States Civil Surgeon specializing in Immigration Medicine. He is also a 2014 US DOT Certified Medical Examiner. His excellence in care has been recognized with Castle Connolly America’s Top Doctors in 2014 and America’s Top Internist in 2022.
Since completing his training, Dr. Malz practiced privately in Philadelphia and Collingdale, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, caring for thousands of patients until December 2021. In January 2022, he relocated his practice to Naples, Florida.
Although Dr. Malz’s special interests include hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cholesterol, and obesity-related problems, he is passionate about providing holistic, all-encompassing medical care. He also serves as a United States Civil Surgeon, assisting new immigrants with initial medical evaluations to support their path to citizenship.

Dr Martin is a delight. He is not a quick fix type of physician. He wants as much information from the patient as possible in order to form a complete picture of your health.

Doctor Malz is the best doctor I’ve had since we have moved to Naples area. I am a diabetic and have a heart conditions which requires me to be under a very close medical supervision.
I’ve tried 3 other doctors that were recommended to me but after staying with them for few visits I became very dissatisfied with them. One spent only a few minutes with me and at the other two I was being seen by only a nurse assistant or something called practitioner . I am used to be seen only by a doctor and that what I was getting in Boston.
Apparently it’s totally different here in Naples.
I was sooooo glad that Dr Malz see me personally and during his visit with me I feel like the most important person in the world.
I feel blessed that I found his office.

I love this office and especially this doctor. My husband and I have moved to Naples last year and since we both have multiple health problems I have been trying to find a good physician. After seeing several doctors we have both decided we like Dr. Malz the most. During my 1st visit he spent a lot of time asking questions about my health that no other doctor has asked before. He was interested about my diet and exercise but also recorded every vitamin I take ( and I take a lot). He examined me thoroughly, my BP was slightly elevated but he took time to ask me t wait for 5 minutes and retook it again.
He then went over my medical records I brought with me and recorded every vaccination I took. Overall he was extremely thorough! My husband has had multiple surgeries and needs extra care but after just 1st visit he had no doubt that this is his doctor. We also love this office which is extra clean ! I also recommended Dr. Malz to our group we meet with every Sunday after the church.

I would never recommend this doctor, I went in for a general checkup and a tweaked knee. Doctor advised I stop doing any sort of HIIT and to only swim and that’s it. I eat minimal carbs and he advised cut all carbs besides meat and veggies ZERO rice and bread. I’m 5’9” and weigh 211, I have a lot of muscle and advised me to lose 40 Lbs based off of BMI and to not lift, ONLY swim. No thanks, I’m not 80 and not going to stop and do light cardio workouts only. Also advised I’ll get all my carbs from veggies and fruit. I’m trying get lean and bulk, not be a scronny little man. Also on the way out asked if I was vaccinated and just walked out after I answered without explanation why he asked…had nothing to do with my visit. Rolled his eyes when I told him I haven’t been to the doctor in 8-10 years, sorry I’m healthy, eat healthy and workout. I’m younger and don’t see the need to go all the time, when I’m already practicing healthy habits.

As it happened I picked a very busy day when the office was also filled with people there for a medical equipment study - which is why other patients told me the wait was very unusual.
Remarkable was the steady pace of both study and scheduled patients even as I waited.
When Dr. Malz saw me I thought it was further remarkable that he did not seem rushed at all, was extremely thorough commenting on my blood test and other results and explaining my present status and the plan. I felt very confident on leaving and scheduling my next appointment.
As an engineer I have some understanding of the technical knowledge he gave me in very normal terms and as a person old enough to remember such things it's a friendly and orderly old school practice where each patient being seen is the most important one.

He was dismissive and condescending when I described my symptoms of mold toxicity. When I become mold toxic, I get terrible insomnia and my sleep meds stop working. Rather than test for mold, he prescribed Lunesta for sleep which has side effects that only would exacerbate the symptoms of mold poisoning. After a lot of convincing, he prescribed me with my anti-anxiety medication and referred me to an infectious disease doctor who was a complete waste of time and did literally nothing. It’s shameful how little doctors know about mold in the medical Industry.
