About Dr. Martina Wasef

Dr. Martina Wasef, AuD, CCC-A, earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from St. John's University as part of the Long Island Audiology Consortium, which includes Adelphi, Hofstra, and St. John's University. She completed her undergraduate studies at Kean University, where she received her bachelor's degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Psychology. She was also a Doctoral Research Fellow at St. John's University, where she investigated awareness and education about audiology among adolescents. Upon completion of her research, she presented the outcomes at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association convention in 2019.
Dr. Wasef gained experience from a variety of clinical settings. She specializes in audiological evaluation across the pediatric to geriatric population. She was a doctoral intern at Adelphi, Hofstra, and St. John's University clinics, Brooklyn Audiology Associates, Blythedale Children's Hospital, and New York Audio Associates. She completed her fourth-year audiology residency at Liberty Hearing Centers and was offered a full-time position upon completion.
Her clinical interests include diagnostic assessment and dispensing hearing aid technology in both pediatric and adult populations, auditory electrophysiology, and hearing conservation. Dr. Wasef is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

The office was fine and the staff thorough and pleasant. I went to get my ears cleaned and a general overview. You might be asked to return in 6 months. The cleaning was not unpleasant just a little weird at first. All in all, no problems and I would recommend this place.

I have worn hearing aids for 16 years, yet Dr. Wasef provided me with important information that helped me choose my latest pair and explained things in ways that were eye-opening (or ear-opening in this case) even though I thought I knew everything there was to know about this process.
