She completed her undergraduate studies at Haverford College in Pennsylvania. After completing training, she remained in Memphis and worked in the Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital Emergency Department as a pediatrician.
She then moved to Nashville to work at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in the Emergency Department Fast Track and After-Hours Clinics. Dr. Bartek transitioned to primary care pediatrics at Pediatric Associates of Davidson County for several years before returning to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis to complete the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Post-Pediatric Portal Fellowship program. Dr. Bartek’s primary clinical focus is treating children and adolescents.

Because we accept insurance, we can reduce out-of-pocket expenses and still offer high-quality care. You may not have any cost related to your visit with us, depending upon your insurance plan. Most patients pay a small copay per visit, subject to any deductible or coinsurance that your health plan has. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services determines appropriate billing guidelines. These guidelines depend on the length of the visit and the complexity and severity of your diagnosis. For this reason, we need to wait until after the visit for the final determination. We then submit the claim to your insurance company. The charges are calculated based upon pre-negotiated prices with your insurance company. Your insurance company will then determine what amount, if any, is your responsibility per your insurance plan.

Moved for work a few months ago, really struggling without care, and was excited to re-establish. I’ve had all the formal testing for ADD, have been treated for a decade, and have established disabilities at last three schools I’ve attended. Faxed all these records 4 days in advance & ensured it was received by Talkiatry. When we met, she had none of my records. The meeting was not conversational but rather 45 minutes of questioning after which she refused treatment because of my drinking which is at most moderately above average and not what I need help with. Besides, my ADD is a documented issue well before drinking age. She also made condescending remarks about it. Did not refer me to a new psychiatrist. Unhelpful and waste of time/money. I’ll have to restart this process and it could take weeks. Cannot say I’d recommend her, or maybe Telehealth either! Evidently a cash-grab for easiest patients to hand out scripts to, which in my need-documented case I couldn’t even get that!!
