Mary Denina is a board-certified PMHNP who treats a variety of mental health concerns. Her role as a PMHNP includes education, medication management, advocacy, and counseling. Mary completed her Master's degree at East Carolina University and her studies included psychopharmacology, therapy modalities, and working with populations across the lifespan. Mary possesses strong rapport-building skills and clinical assessment skills. In addition to medication management, Mary uses CBT, PCT, and motivational interviewing (MI) techniques.
MEDICATION PRESCRIBING: Thriveworks providers do not prescribe opioid use disorder medications, weight-loss medications, injectable psychiatric medications, long-term benzodiazepines, or sleep medications, though these may be prescribed short-term for existing clients when clinically appropriate. Controlled substances, including ADHD stimulants, are available only in select states.
