Mary’s style is collaborative, direct, and nonjudgmental. She emphasizes authentic therapeutic connection and individual resilience, autonomy, and recovery. Mary has experience working with a diverse group of people and issues, including anxiety, depression, psychosis, bipolar illness, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, PTSD, OCD, trauma recovery, ADHD, and behavior change, especially around drug and alcohol use. Medications can be a sensitive topic; her goal is to create a safe space and offer a balanced perspective to support you in making informed decisions about your care. Mary’s psychotherapeutic training includes Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She integrates aspects of these modalities rather than adhering to just one, in order to best serve each patient’s needs. Mary believes that, like snowflakes, no two individuals are alike. She seeks out client strengths to collaboratively build a path to healing. Her approach includes working with patients on relaxation techniques such as visualization, progressive muscle relaxation, and deep breathing. Mary has always been deeply committed to the care of her patients. When away from her patients, she loves to sing, travel, and enjoy the company of her family.
