About Masayuki Adachi
Masayuki Adachi is a NY State Licensed Acupuncturist and a Board Certified Herbalist through the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He completed a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture program at Touro College in 2010 and a Herbal Certificate program at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in 2012. He’s worked for patients in orthopedic rehabilitation, post-stroke, and labor and delivery departments at the Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
He completed Basic and Advanced Dr. Tan’s Balance Method.
He is certified in clean needle technique by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He is a member of the Acupuncture Society of New York. (ASNY)
He began his career as a healer in 2001. He started as a Shiatsu therapist, and that experience sparked his interest in Eastern medicine, a holistic approach to treatment, not just symptomatic treatment. Through their experience, he realized his true passion and ability to heal people and decided to pursue a career as an acupuncturist.
He focuses on the person rather than the disease, particularly the mind state over the physical condition.
He created his distinctive style of acupuncture, which integrates well-known worldwide Dr. Tan’s Balance Method with the Japanese Palpation Techniques. This combined method is a simple yet effective system of acupuncture that achieves rapid clinical results. Most patients experience immediate pain relief soon after needles are inserted. Furthermore, his in-depth knowledge and use of herbal medicine and expert training in the Japanese Seitai (Osteopath) method can successfully treat a wide range of conditions other than pain.

Masa is a spectacular practitioner. He is attentive, insightful, and genuinely cares about his patients. Since coming to Masa’s practice, my pain has significantly decreased and my overall wellbeing has greatly increased. It has happened several times that I’ve come in with a problem that has been solved by the time I leave his office. Highly recommend!!

Masayuki is extremely thorough in his approach. I've been to other acupuncturists who prefer to treat without detailed explanations. My preference is to gain better understanding of the treatment and he is excellent at this. Also offers great guidance on sleep, eating, exercise and is always happy to answer questions.

I injured my back back in April lifting weights and worked with a chiropractor for weeks seeing little results. Coincidentally, I had a trip to Japan booked in May and decided to try acupuncture right off the plane and it saved my trip. Unfortunately, I underestimated the severity of my injury and locked my back up again after lifting heavy bags home in New York. I decided to give a Japanese acupuncturist a chance here before booking a full trip back and I am so so happy to have found Masayuki - he is the REAL deal!!! I would recommend him for any injury or chronic pain. Not only is he a master of acupuncture, he was able to provide guidance on exercises that will be a long term solution for my injury. Everything he recommended was verified by a certified PT. I am so grateful to have found Adachi Acupuncture - again he is the real deal!!! 100/10. I look forward to continued treatments :)

This acupuncture experience was the single that helped me recover from post Covid information and fatigue. I truly believe that if I had not found. Masa and his practice, I might not have gotten better for months.
Masa listened and believed in my fatigue from the beginning. Throughout every session, he was thoughtful and always focused on how my body was respond and how we and how we could work together to find the best solution could work together to find the best solution.

Dr. Adachi's treatment has significantly improved my symptoms of chronic migraine and other issues. What I appreciate the most is that his treatment plan not only addresses the pain itself but also targets the underlying root cause of the condition. This aspect differentiates his treatment from other acupuncturists or doctors.
Dr. Adachi also gives you undivided attention for the whole hour during the session. Discussing my symptoms, which sometimes fluctuate depending on the week, has helped me better understand the cause and what I should be focusing on that week to improve my symptoms.
He is easy to communicate with and is flexible. He has a calming presence that helps you relax during the session even if you may have had a stressful day.
The space is always clean and the building is accessible.
Thank you Dr. Adachi for all your help! I highly recommend this place to anyone who might be suffering from seemingly incurable symptoms :)

This year I am giving thanks to Masa. I was diagnosed with UC in June 2023 and had uncomfortable symptoms since March 2023. I was on 3 different medications in hopes that I didn’t have to start taking steroids or biologics. Nothing was working and my doctor said “give it time”. One of my friends had recommended acupuncture and after much research I decided to make an appointment with Masa. After just one session with him, my symptoms had subsided! I could not believe it. I was in shock. After 4 sessions with him, my inflammation was pretty much gone and I felt better than I’ve felt in a really long time. This man is an absolute magician! If you’re suffering from an autoimmune disease, chronic pain, or anything else that’s uncomfortable. RUN, don’t walk!!!! Masa is your man!

I have been seeing Masa for about 4 months now. In that time, each of the issues that I brought to him have greatly improved. Most notably, I had chronic pain due to a rotator cuff injury that has all but gone away as of recently. I always leave sessions feeling great, and I would highly recommend the experience for both physical and mental ailments!

I have been delighted with each progress and the results that I made in the healing with Dr. Adachi’s acupuncture treatment.
I found myself triple lighter than I initially visited and my posture was so much well adjusted with improved alignment within a first couple of sessions. He treated ailments with addressing the musculoskeletal issues that I wasn’t even aware of.
He has passion for drawing all his knowledge in using various methods for the best outcome and has love for sharing these. I am grateful for getting to know how my body functions and each part of the body mutually works together much better. He listens head to tow with great care and patience and I always find his holistic view and advise are precise and to the point.
He is conscientious practitioner and he would suggest or refer you to the most appropriate modality to add when necessary.
I also appreciate his gentle application of acupuncture and massage techniques so I highly recommend to those who has sensitivity as well.

Masa is one of the best acupuncturists I’ve seen! Helped solve chronic lower back problems and takes time with me to ensure the acupuncture points are working immediately before letting the points set versus other acupuncturists who put in the points and then leave you for a period of time first. He also works muscles through massage and stretching to ensure faster and sustained recovery. Would 100% recommend him to anyone!

I have had chronic sciatica pain on and off for the past few years. A recent flare up that happened 5 months ago was the worse pain I’ve been in. While going to physical therapy did help I was still having daily discomfort and unable to be as active as I would like because of it. Masa was very thorough in his evaluation of me and explaining why the pain was persisting. He is very attentive and knowledgeable and only after two sessions my sciatica pain is finally subsiding. He is also helping to treat other health issues that are interrelated. I’ve been sharing with family and friends about how great Mass is, I highly recommend him!

I have had acupuncture from several practitioners since 1996. Mr. Adachi is the most thorough in his practice and explains the connections within the human body that are very helpful to my recovery process. He explores the root of the problem with his incredible skill and talent. I went to him for pain from fibroids and he has helped with reducing the pain and the size of the fibroid. In the past, it has been difficult to find his level of expertise. He is caring and I highly recommend his expertise and professionalism to everyone I know.

Masa is professional and consultative in his approach. I originally came in for knee treatment with the goal of avoiding a steroid injection. Over a few sessions I started to feel relief. In subsequent visits he has helped addressed other ailments with his holistic approach.
