About Dr. Matthew Goodman
Dr. Goodman was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, and married his wife Kay in Mesa, Arizona. They have raised 5 wonderful children. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona with Highest Distinction, and proceeded to received his MD degree also at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine. Following medical school, he received his specialty training at the University of California, Irvine, where he was awarded an NIH research fellowship, and then completed his dermatology residency, and served as chief resident. He is board-certified in dermatology. After residency, he stayed at UC Irvine as a faculty assistant professor, and Director of Dermatologic and Mohs Surgery, as well as Co-Director of the UC Irvine Melanoma Center. He then entered private practice, which he has enjoyed for over 30 years. Dr. Goodman is pleased to now open an office in Peoria, Arizona. He is a Fellow and founding president of the American Society for Mohs Surgery, and has a special interest in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of skin cancer. He has published numerous articles in professional peer-reviewed journals, and has performed thousands of surgeries. He has been recognized by his peers as a Physician of Excellence multiple times.

Dr Goodman took the time to describe all his thoughts and his evaluation of my problems. His medical procedures were well done and very efficiently.
I have no reservation that he and his staff are some of the best in Arizona. I look forward to any follow-ups to resolve my problems.

This was a new patient visit. Over a period of about 15 or 20 years, I have had 2 other Dermatologists, whom I saw an an annual basis, so Dermatology care wasn't a new concept for me. From the minute I walked in the front door, till the minute I walked out, I have to say without a doubt, that in my 79 years of life, this was the best Doctor/Medical experience I have ever had. The waiting area was spacious, clean and inviting. The office and medical staff were amazing. They were extremely friendly, personable, proficient, professional and knew exactly what their jobs were. They had a natural sense of making a patient feel welcome and at ease. Dr Matt Goodman was likewise, extremely friendly, personable, proficient and professional. Dr Goodman performed a complete skin check, addressing my concerns first. He was extremely through and skilled in all that he did. This was the first time in my life that I felt totally cared for by ALL MEDICAL STAFF in ANY MEDICAL PRACTICE.

I had decided that if my appointment with Dr. Goodman did not go well that I was never going to see a dermatologist again, after my many years of poor experiences. I was listened to, physically examined, and extremely pleased with Dr. Goodman and his care. He listed to my many years of history, took into account the fact that I am breastfeeding into my care plan, discussed our plan thoroughly, and I did not feel rushed whatsoever in his office. I have a positive outlook for my condition and have hope that there is something that can be done to better my quality of life. I will be returning to Dr. Goodman's office for all of my dermatology needs and am very grateful to him and his many years of experience. The office is nice and clean, the check in process was easy, and the staff are very kind. 1000% reccomend.
