About Dr. Matthew Westfall

Dr. Matthew Westfall is a family physician at our Johnson location. From an early age, Dr. Westfall had a strong interest in the sciences but knew he didn’t want to be confined to a lab setting. After volunteering in Santa Barbara and working in Peru, Africa, and Southeast Asia, he realized he could combine his love for people with his passion for science. He attended Touro University in Las Vegas and completed his residency at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura. A Southern California native, Dr. Westfall always knew he wanted to stay close to home. After his residency, he decided to continue serving the Ventura County community through his practice. His favorite aspect of family medicine is the opportunity to treat a diverse range of patients, from children to older adults. He has a particular interest in sports medicine and lipidology. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Westfall enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, with cycling and rowing among his favorites. Having traveled extensively, he’s a self-proclaimed “foodie,” appreciating dishes from many cultures. His ideal day would include sitting down with an adventure novel at Rumfish y Vino, followed by a surf session to end the day. Dr. Westfall is currently accepting new patients.
