About Dr. Mauricio Waintrub
Graduate of the University of Chile, Dr. Waintrub completed his internship and residency at Marshall University Affiliated Hospitals in Huntington, WV. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. In his native Chile, he taught internal medicine and pulmonary medicine at the Barros Luco Hospital for two years. He later was a research associate and instructor in Basic Sciences and Clinical Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and the Web Warning Lung Institute, where he authored numerous research and teaching papers.He continues to author publications for medical students and pre-medical students. He also teaches medical students from the University of Colorado Medical School, and is an attending physician at both Rocky Mountain Internal Medicine and Health One affiliated hospitals. Fluent in Spanish, he has twin scholars and loves tennis.

Reminded me of the Dr office I used to go to when I as a kid back in the 1960/70's. Not modern at all, had dated/used furniture. Kind of gave me a feeling of, maybe I should cancel my appointment and search for another dr/place.

The office is very dated and depressed. Dr. Waintrub is very hard to understand. His quiet voice and accent makes it difficult to hear what he is saying, so I had to have him repeat things several times. I guess I was expecting more when getting a complete annual physical. He spent more time on his ipad typing in information/sending prescriptions then he did with the examination, which consisted of checking my heart beat, my eyes (looking at his finger), open my mouth and laying back so he could check my tummy and ankles.....that was it.....I was done.

Office is nice and clean, Veronica at the reception desk was kind and gave great instruction to get me started. Doctor Mauricio is kind and listens well. He's also good at giving knowledge in a way I could understand as a non medically trained person.

Dr. Waintrub appeared almost as soon as I walked into the waiting room and took the time to listen to everything I had to say. That combined with the great location got me into a course of treatment right away, and quick treatment is important to your health.

Dr. Weintraub asked me no additional questions beyond the required intake form then proceeded to look me dead in the eye and say “you need to lose at least 20 pounds” and then closed the appointment with “and you should lose some weight and we’ll see you in a year”. I told him i had recently gone off birth control for the first time in 13 years, asked no questions but did call into question multiple times whether i work out 3-4x week and have a healthy diet like i said

Mr.Waintrub is near unintelligible not only due to his accent but his communication style. He and his network have not followed through on scheduling the additional appointments promised and my condition continues to worsen. I would highly recommend against visiting Waintrub and any other doctor in the Rocky Mountain Internal Medicine network.

Very disappointed. I had to call twice now and I still haven't received any answer on my visit. There have been test results then I still haven't heard about. I've never had to reach out multiple times to get a call back from a doctor. Definitely dissapointed and will not be returning.
