“First, I feel that the doctor was great and listened to all my concerns. Remained professional throughout entire appointment. No complaints or comments there. The only thing I would say, prior to the appointment I felt the office may have called/texted a bit too much for forms/ payment/ and additional information. All of which could have been completed the day of, so the need for the repeat calls and text seemed excessive. Outside of that. Staff and doctor were very friendly when I arrived. I wasn’t giving payment information over the phone. I’m self pay and maybe a bit protective of my financial information. I got there early and was able to be seen before my appointment time, which is always great. Overall I would definitely recommend the doctor and office to anyone in need of a psychiatrist. Oh & maybe a bit more on the expensive side. But you’ll feel that your money (or insurance co-pay if you have one) was well spent.”

Dr. Maximus Anitube is a Board Certified Child Psychiatrist and Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Maiduguri and his Doctor of Medicine from Xavier University. Dr. Anitube completed his residency in Adult Psychiatry at Cooper University Hospital and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine. He has focused his clinical training and experience on many different areas of psychiatry and is well versed in working with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Anitube is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the American Psychiatric Association.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Before scheduling, please note that children must be more than 10 years old to be seen via telehealth. Children under 10 must schedule for in person appointments. I believe that every individual’s journey to mental wellness is unique. My approach is open-minded and compassionate, providing a supportive space where patients feel heard and understood. Together, we explore life’s challenges, analyze their impact, and identify practical solutions—whether through therapy, medication, or other interventions. Recovery is a gradual process, and I emphasize progress over perfection. My goal is to empower you with education, insight, and personalized care, helping you build resilience and move toward lasting well-being. As a board-certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist, I provide compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals across all stages of life who are facing mental health challenges. Whether you are a child struggling with ADHD, anxiety, or behavioral difficulties, an adolescent navigating mood changes, academic stress, or identity concerns, or a young adult dealing with life transitions, depression, or emerging psychiatric conditions, I am here to support you. I also work with adults managing anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship difficulties, as well as parents seeking guidance in understanding and supporting their child’s mental health. My approach is holistic and collaborative, focusing on personalized treatment plans that may include therapy, medication when necessary, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term well-being.
