About Dr. Maya Rubin

I believe that health is largely shaped outside of the doctor's office, and I want to empower patients to take an active role in their health and well-being. Through collaborative partnership, I want to equip patients with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed choices about their health, prevent disease, and live life to the fullest. I go by Maya and use she/her/hers pronouns. I stay healthy and happy by cooking/baking for family and friends, taking solo walks, reading, traveling and exploring new places, snowboarding, and most recently needlepointing. I completed my education at New York Medical College in Westchester, NY and my residency at Lenox Hill Hospital. I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). I also speak Hebrew. My areas of expertise include cholesterol management/heart disease prevention and HIV management (including prevention).
