Office called and left me a message notifying me of this policy but I missed the call and took a lot of time and multiple calls to reach them. I don't think it's right for the site to say insurance accepted but it's not. Doc was great but process and office staff were not ”

About Dr. Maya Trueman
Dr. Maya Trueman is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. She combines advanced surgical training with a warm, approachable demeanor to help patients feel confident and cared for every step of the way.
Dr. Trueman earned her Bachelor’s degree in Family Science and Public Health from the University of Maryland and received her Doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She then completed an intensive three-year surgical residency at Hoboken University Medical Center, where she served as chief resident, overseeing a team of fifteen physicians in her final year.
Her surgical interests include the repair of fractures, tendons, and ligaments, as well as the correction of biomechanical deformities such as bunions and hammertoes. She also has a strong interest in wound care and diabetic foot management, bringing both expertise and compassion to every patient she treats.
Dr. Trueman achieved board certification from the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in 2024 while practicing in Colorado, and has since returned to the East Coast to join the distinguished team at Gotham Footcare. She is committed to helping patients regain mobility, relieve pain, and improve their quality of life.
Outside of the office, Dr. Trueman enjoys skiing, playing tennis, exploring new restaurants, and watching sports with her husband and their two children.

DR. TRUEMAN WAS EXCEPTIONAL. SHE INFORMED ME OF MY CONDITION AND HELPED ME RESOLVE MY HEEL PAIN WITHOUT PAINFUL INJECTIONS. WE DID A FEW SESSIONS OF SHOCK WAVE TREATMENT AND
I NO LONGER HAVE FOOT PAIN. SHE ALSO MADE ME CUSTOM ORTHOTICS THAT FEEL GREAT. SHE IS KIND PROFESSIONAL, AND EFFECTIVE.

A friend recommended Dr. Trueman to me when I was venting my frustration with wearing shoes that I like that I no longer feel comfortable wearing because of my bunions. I usually wouldn't care but now it was functionally affecting me. Dr. Trueman was approachable, understanding, and professional. We discussed my concerns and went over the risks and benefits of surgery. She put me at ease about surgery and I couldn't be happier. Best decision I ever made. Don't know why I waited 10 cons.

I went to the clinic because I hurt my toe at work. They x-rayed me foot in the office. Dr. Trueman diagnosed and treated my broken toe. She was so professional, kind and really cared. I highly recommend this doctor and the clinic.

Dr. Trueman was really kind and patient. She listened to my concerns and had really good bedside manners. I've been feeling pain whenever I stepped with my right foot for 2 weeks and Dr. Trueman helped a lot in just 1 afternoon. The office is also really clean and nice. The staff were great.

Dr. Maya Trueman is hands down one of the best podiatrists I've ever seen. I came in with cronic foot pain that had been bothering me for months, and within one visit she diagnosed the issue and created a treatment plan that finally gave me relief. She's incredibly knowledgeable patient, and truly listens. You can feel she genuinely cares about her patients. My only regret is not finding her sooner!

Excellent doctor! I was seen immediately. Great bedside manner. She listened to my problem and explained my condition with great detail and how to treat me. She wait ones my x-rays and discussed how I can treat my condition without surgery. I hope to need a podiatrist in the future but if I do she will continue to be my doctor.
