About Megan Cook
Being able to care for women in a kind and compassionate manner is such a privilege to me! I was called to midwifery at a young age after helping my older sister through her pregnancy and birth and after having some not-so-positive experiences of my own. I vowed to always keep an open mind and really try to listen to and respect women while educating them about their bodies and their choices. I love being a part of a woman’s journey throughout her life, whether it be her first GYN exam, pregnancy, contraceptive choices, or peri/post-menopause.
I hold an Associate’s degree from North Shore Community College, a Bachelor’s from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a Master’s in Public Health from Boston University. I also earned a Certificate in Midwifery from Boston University, which has deeply enriched my practice.
I have now chosen Essex County OB/GYN for a second time! I worked for the practice from 2006 to 2019 and took a break to raise my two boys before returning in 2024. I love this practice mostly because of the people who work here—we have absolutely amazing midwives, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, doctors, and support staff. There are so many brilliant minds here and many choices for patients to find the right fit. It truly does feel like a family. I also love the staff at Beverly Hospital and think it is a fantastic place to give birth. I had my children with this practice and had a fantastic experience!
