About Megan Elliot
Megan Elliot is the nurse practitioner here at DeKalb-Gwinnett OB-GYN. Megan is an Atlanta native who graduated from Kennesaw State University with an advanced practice nursing degree specializing in family care. Before joining our practice, Megan spent a year working as a primary care nurse practitioner resident for the Atlanta VA Hospital and their community- based outpatient clinics. She also worked as a registered nurse at numerous hospitals in the Atlanta area including 8 years at Grady Hospital. Megan has always gravitated towards women’s health and is particularly interested in advocating for mental health and holistic care.
Megan and her husband Matt have a full house with their young son Henry and two old hound dogs named Lottie and Dooley.

I’ve been with Dr. Joseph Tate’s practice since 1984! I highly recommend Dr. Tate, Megan Elliott NP, and his office staff. They are knowledgeable, professional, and caring. Dr. Tate delivered two of my three sons. He truly celebrates the miracle of pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding with you! Megan Elliott NP takes time to read your chart, asks relevant questions, and puts you at ease by talking you through the examination. The staff is friendly and takes care of referrals and billing in a professional manner. I highly recommend Dr. Tate Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr.Megan is amazing, as a girl in my 20s finding her self in this new world, she added ease to my journey. Being a great listener, super attentive, gentle, kind, immediately ?gives off that warm mother feel. I can confirm Dr.Megan will be my regular care provider for many years to come.

I couldn’t recommend Nurse Megan enough! She is patient, understanding, knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring. Megan helped me at my lowest point through postpartum depression and made me feel heard and understood when I felt I had no one else. She took time out of her schedule every week to call me and ensure I was doing better and went above and beyond to get answers for me when a handful of doctors just brushed me off. I can not thank her enough for all her and the awesome office staff have done!

I LOVE Megan! She is the best addition to Dr. Tate’s practice. She is so knowledgeable and relatable, it is such a pleasure working with her. When I was having high blood pressure issues after birth, she calmed me down and got my dosage on my medication correct. She continued to follow up with me and call me a couple times a week until my blood pressure was under control. She’s amazing!
