Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
UT
Hey! Nice to meet you! I'm a triple board-certified nurse practitioner in midwifery, family practice, and psychiatry. I received my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Utah in 2016 and have been providing care to individuals in the Salt Lake Valley, focusing on women's health, family practice, and psychiatric care, since then. With a deep understanding of the intricate connection between physical, mental, and reproductive health, I specialize in women's mental health. I enjoy helping women navigate the unique challenges that arise during menstruation, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, and beyond. My approach to care is to help you feel seen and heard. I don't want you to feel like another number, but where you find your mental health journey is explored with genuine interest. Each experience is unique and deserves an individualized approach. I am here to guide you on your healing path. I start with getting to know your story and your struggles, and we come up with a plan that is tailored to your needs. While I do specialize in women's mental health, I see all genders and ages 8+ for a variety of psychiatric conditions such as: ADHD, Addiction/substance use, Anxiety, Bipolar disorder, Depression, Eating disorders, Perinatal mental health care, Premenstrual mood disorders, Postpartum depression, Insomnia, and Schizophrenia. I like to create a calm, receptive environment where you feel safe to fully express yourself. In my visits, you are given space to tell your story and feel listened to. I create space to get to know YOU. The goals we create at each visit are mutually decided upon based on your interest for areas of improvement. I help you set reasonable expectations for what we can expect from behavioral and medication interventions. Change does not occur overnight, but small changes over time can have a big impact. We set small, achievable goals at each session with an emphasis on a daily, conscious reflection of symptom tracking.
