Getting to know Megan Miller

Hi, I’m Megan Miller, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I’m passionate about supporting individuals of all ages on their mental health journey—from children to older adults. I believe that care should be personalized, compassionate, and rooted in understanding each person’s unique story. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatry in 2024, graduating with high honors. Before that, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2021, also with honors. My training has included working with patients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric psychiatric settings, where I gained hands-on experience in diagnosis, medication management, and developing individualized treatment plans. I’m also familiar with advanced treatment options available at our facility, such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Spravato (Esketamine), and Intramuscular (IM) Ketamine. These alternative therapies provide additional options for patients who may not have found success with traditional treatments, and I’m happy to help guide you toward the path that best fits your needs. Before becoming a psychiatric provider, I worked in a neurological ICU, where I cared for patients with complex medical needs. That background helped me develop strong critical thinking and communication skills, which I now use every day in my psychiatric practice. My approach is collaborative, empathetic, and culturally sensitive. I speak both English and Spanish fluently, and I strive to create a safe, welcoming space for everyone I work with. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, or other mental health concerns, I’m here to listen, support, and help you take the next steps toward feeling better. I'm looking forward to working with you and supporting your mental wellness.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard and understood. My approach is collaborative and patient-centered—I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to guide and support you with evidence-based care that fits your unique needs and goals. In our work together, I take time to get to know you as a whole person, not just your symptoms. I’ll ask about your experiences, challenges, strengths, and goals so we can develop a treatment plan that feels right for you. This may include therapy-based techniques, medication management, lifestyle changes, or a combination of approaches. I value open communication and welcome your questions, feedback, and concerns throughout our time together. My goal is to help you feel empowered, informed, and supported every step of the way. Whether you're seeking care for the first time or continuing your mental health journey, I’m here to meet you where you are—and move forward together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our first session, I’ll take time to get to know you—your concerns, personal history, symptoms, and goals for treatment. This initial visit is focused on understanding the full picture of your mental health, so I can make an accurate diagnosis and develop a care plan that works for you. We’ll discuss things like your mood, sleep, stress, past treatment experiences, and any medical factors that might be contributing to how you’re feeling. After the first session, follow-up visits are usually shorter and focused on how you’re responding to treatment. We’ll talk about your progress, any side effects or concerns with medications (if prescribed), and make adjustments as needed. I also take a holistic view, so we may explore lifestyle factors, coping strategies, and therapy options that support your mental well-being. While I don’t provide full talk therapy sessions, I do incorporate supportive and therapeutic conversation into our visits. If more structured therapy is needed, I’m happy to collaborate with a therapist or refer you to one. My goal is to make sure you feel supported, informed, and empowered in every step of your care.

I highly recommend Megan Miller. Not only is she empathetic and compassionate she is down to earth and super friendly. No judgments or condescending remarks as I have experienced many times in the past with other providers.

My experience with Maegan was really great and she had really thorough answers to all of my questions. I enjoyed the coffee and snacks in the waiting room, and the help I got from reception was also exceptional. They will send prior authorization requests to your insurance and help you fill out all the forms to help you get your treatment covered. I haven't started treatment yet here, but I'm really looking forward to it.

Great practitioner! Cool + easy to talk to .
I can’t say enough good things about Megan. She is truly amazing, compassionate, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough in her care. From the moment you meet her, she makes you feel heard, understood, and genuinely supported. Her attention to detail and dedication to her patients set her apart, and I couldn’t recommend anyone better. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares and goes above and beyond, Megan is the one to see!
Megan is wonderful and I truly feel very fortunate to have her as my nurse practitioner. She is so kind and always takes the time to listen, which means a lot these days. I would follow her anywhere. The staff at NeuroHealth is also very nice and they were so patient with me when it came to filling out the paperwork and helping me get on the Zoom even when I had a bit of trouble. I really appreciate that extra kindness and I would happily recommend Megan and NeuroHealth to many others.
My appointment was virtual. The connection was very easy and it worked perfectly. Everything and everyone very professional.
I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience with Megan Miller at NeuroHealth Treatment Centers was life-changing. I had tried at least three antidepressants with no success. Megan recommended TMS treatments, and halfway through, I felt like a cloud had lifted. My mood and energy improved, and I finally started to feel like myself again. Megan is kind, knowledgeable, and truly listens. The front desk team—Naila and Francesca—are always welcoming and polite. The office is beautiful, clean, and calming, which made every visit a positive experience. I’ve already recommended Megan to friends dealing with similar issues. If you’re struggling and haven’t found relief, I highly recommend checking out NeuroHealth. It made a real difference for me.
I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience has been truly life-changing. I came to NeuroHealth Treatment Centers in Fort Lauderdale to see Megan Miller for severe depression after trying and failing with three different antidepressants. Megan recommended TMS therapy, and about halfway through treatment, I felt like a cloud had been lifted. Megan is compassionate, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to talk to—I’ve already recommended her to several friends. The facility itself is beautiful and modern, and the front desk staff, especially Naila and Francesca, are so kind and easy to work with. This place gave me hope again. Highly recommend!
