About Dr. Megan Tai

Dr. Megan Tai, O.D. obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She graduated with honors as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honors Society and received Student Fellowship status with the American Academy of Optometry. She received extensive training at the Veteran Affairs hospitals in San Francisco and Southern Arizona, Ophthalmology tertiary referral centers in New Jersey and New York, and community clinics around the Bay Area, where she managed a variety of ocular conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Tai is a therapeutic and glaucoma-certified optometrist and is passionate about educating patients about their eye health. She is a Bay Area native, being born and raised in Los Altos, California. In her life outside of optometry, she enjoys exploring different cultures and cuisines, and has a never-ending list of Yelp bookmarks of Bay Area establishments to try. Her favorite pastimes include traveling, hiking, or playing with her puppy, Jameson, a blue-merle Australian Shepherd. Dr. Tai is dedicated to providing excellent, individualized patient care to enhance patients’ quality of life through the best possible vision. Dr. Tai is accepting new patients ages 6 and above.
