Patient reviews for Dr. Meh Jabeen Hussain
Welcoming, attentive, and professional
I really like her. She is incredibly knowledgeable and I’m looking forward to trying a new medication that she recommended. I feel that she diagnosed my condition correctly and am on a good path in her care.
She does not return calls and the wait time is horrendous!
Doesn’t listen to what I’m telling her. Although she is very nice. She is not willing to try different medications for my add. Which would be excellent. And keeps forcing cymbalta on me
She is amazing.
She didn't know I was there, even though I confirmed with someone over the phone that I was coming. Ridiculous.
It was ok , but waiting an hour after appointment was aggravating.
I'm always apprehensive meeting new doctors & mental health is a very difficult thing to discuss. Dr Hussain immediately put me at ease. Her "bedside" manner is perfect & she is very compassionate.
Dr. Hussain was great. She made me feel very comfortable and was great at explaining everything. I left feeling informed about my treatment
This was our family's first visit. Our son has responded to the medication and Dr. Hussain had some good thoughts to share with us. We are looking forward to more growth and progress in our son as we are new to the area.
After Several apts. always a very long wait time. Never refilled prescriptions in a timely manner. Didn’t tell me that she didn’t take my insurance after it changed until after my apt so I had to pay all cash. I had to quit one medication cold turkey because it took over 5 messages to her “answering service” (which is really just a Regis building room) and 2 messages from my pharmacy with still no call back. How unprofessional for a psychiatrist! I should have listened to the other bad reviews before giving her a try. I’m reporting her to the AMA over this.
She is basically a pill pusher! Charges She barely even looks at you, has her nose in her computer the whole time! Won't refill your script unless you see her, so she can charge you! She called and canceled my appointment, and rescheduled because she had something more important. I told her my script needed to be refilled, I wouldn't have enough to make it to the new appointment date. She said she would take care of it, well she didn't!! Walgreen's gave me an emergency supply, while they reached out to her. I called 4 days in a row, no reply to me or Walgreen's! I called the 5th day, and the answering service told me she wanted to know if I could come in that day at 5:00pm. I told them I couldn't because of my schedule. I run out completely today, and start having bad side affects! She only cares about the money, not you!! Do yourself a favor and find a good Doctor!!!!
Was good, real professional.
She was very professional and helpful. She made me feel like I could talk to her and tell her exactly what I needed to say.
Very professional and attentive
The doctor was very professional. She explained everything to me perfectly. I would highly recommend her.
Should have listened to other reviews, waited nearly an hour after my appointment time to see the dr, was only in there maybe 15 minutes and she answered her phone in the middle of my appointment. I was very unimpressed, I won't be returning.
I didnt really feel like I got the answer or help I was looking for. I didnt feel genuinely cared about as a patient. I think helping people to come to better state of mind is a great responsibility that shouldnt be taken lightly or as if its 'just a job'. Nothing personal against the doc. Just wasn't the right doctor for me. Thank you.
She wants to treat you her way, and when mymedication that she proscribed had bed side effects she didn't even call me or my pharmacy back. Her secratetary told me "I can't do anything but give her message if it is emergency go to hospital". That's the first psychiatris that I had that does not call back her patients.
She does not listen very well, when asked for medication change. And her rates are ridiculous.
Nothing to do with the doctor I just felt more frustrated than what I was when I went in
she took 3 phone calls in the 20 minutes I was with her after waiting 45 (or more) minutes for my 5:00 appointment! Very disappointing.
Dr. Hussain is easy to talk to, but she was very quick to prescribe meds (within 15 minutes of my first appointment). Subsequent appointments were just about how the meds felt, not my depression/anxiety.
Always effecient caring and professional. Very satisfied
This is quality care with a personal touch. I have searched for a great deal of time to find such a compassionate doctor. I drive over an hour to see her & it is completely worth the trip every time!
I like her however she is always running late. 20 minutes wouldn't be a big deal but the last couple of times I've seen her, she has been over an hour late each time
She was fantastic and very kind and patient. Highly knowledgeable and professional-- definitely recommend.
Dr. Hussain is great. She listens to all of your concerns and is very knowledgable about the medication she prescribes. And unlike many doctors these days, she doesn't over prescribe or just hand out prescriptions for controlled meds without trying safer alternatives first, which is something I love about her. The only two things I would like to see improve is the wait time before appointments, as there is always at least a 45 minute wait, as well as response time when contacting her over the phone. Leaving a message with the answering service and waiting for a call back takes time and is a little inconvenient. If patients need their medication(s), or if they have urgent questions, the doctor should be reachable within 24 hours. On the flip side, I believe she also works at a hospital in downtown Chicago quite often, so some of this is u derstandable. Other than those two minor issues Dr. Hussain is an amazing doctor and I would definitely reccomend her to anyone in need of a good psychiatrist.
Got me the help I needed. I felt very comfortable with her.
I thought she was very nice but our visit was very rushed and I do not think she was of a help to me. She answered text messages while I was talking which was distracting and a bit rude. I do not think I will be back. I need someone to help me and I do not think she is a right fit.
I am always in good hands when I visit with Dr. Hussain. She's amazing & caring. Recommended indeed.
Didn't wait long for the st. Charles office. Definitely coming back to visit her again.
Very knowledgeable but she kept answering her phone during the appointment which I found disrespectful and distracting. The wait time was long. She has three people scheduled for the same time.
Waited over an hour to meet with Dr. Multiple people in lobby were complaining that they have to wait over an hour to see Dr. every appt. When meeting with Dr. she made almost no eye contact and typed on her computer the whole time. When asking about side effects of medications, Dr. was brief and was interrupted by an IM that had come in, which she became distracted by and then did not finish discussion. After IM came in Dr asked for her co-pay, and then seemed to want me to leave asap. Will never go back to this Dr.
Even thought the wait was a bit long, if just shows she doesn't rush anything with patients. She was very easy to talk to. I was nervous going in but felt better after leaving.
I showed up early to fill out the paperwork because of all the reviews that said long wait time. 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment the doctor was still not even in the office. I waited for a full 30 minutes for the doctor to even show up to the clinic and felt like the doctor wasn't even interested in me but only typing the notes on her computer to get me out of there so she could see her next patient.
Nicest doctor I've ever had a consultation with. She listened to my concerns and helped me get on the right track to better myself. I'm so glad to have found such a nice doctor who actually listens to your concerns and puts you on the best path to fit your needs.
Visit was exceptional. Very easy to talk to and helped me find a treatment to fit my needs. Would definitely recommend her services to anyone in need of help.
She's very caring and listens to you.
Doctor Hussain was engaged in my needs and very professional.
Exceptional Doctor. She spends time assessing her patients and answers all questions that need to be addressed. The wait time can be a bit long but, it is truly because she cares enough to take the time with every single patient. I highly recommend her!
I thought Dr. Hussain was great. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a psychiatrist. I could tell she was listening to what I was telling her and not just asking question after question. She gave me feedback instead of just typing what I was saying. She was able to answer all my questions.
Walked in nervous... But left Quite impressed at the end! 1st appt has me looking forward to speaking to her more. I left comfortable and at ease I was in good hands.
Very thorough and listened
Professional, immediate appointment times available, thorough conversation, and very personable.
Very pleasant experience, missed my appointment she worked me in. Highly proffesional, yet understanding. The very first time will be much like youve been tgere before. Recomend her.
