“All in all was a good experience, The waiting room was extremely small. People could barely pass by me when they got called in. I had to tuck my feet in. I don’t know how anyone could have used a walker to get in to sit in that area. ”

Dr. Melanie Hecker earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, following a Master's Degree in Business Administration. She completed her internship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and her dermatology residency there. As an attending physician at St. Luke's Hospital in New York, she served as Dermatology Clinic Chief, Director of the Clinical Research Unit, and was the department's expert on nail dermatology. Dr. Hecker is skilled in the treatment of hair loss, nail disorders, and dermatologic surgery. She is also recognized as an expert in Skin of Color, which requires a different approach to dermatologic treatment.

On my first visit to the office, Dr. Melanie Hecker asked me about the reason for my visit. I explained my hair loss issue. Without examining my scalp, she recommended a product that was sold in her office.
At the next visit, she asked if my hair was still shedding, to which I responded no. She immediately suggested that I return in the next eight weeks, then switched to selling me an experience: joining a monthly club to hydrate my face on her way out the door.
After two visits, she has not examined my scalp. At no point did she even examine my scalp.
I am disappointed in her service, and I am now looking for a new dermatologist.

Staff was very pleasant and professional. Doctor was very friendly and efficient. Waiting time was about 35 minutes, but once I was seen, went very quickly. I highly recommend this Doctor and her office.

I have left no less than five messages at Dr Heckers Office. It goes straight to voicemail and no one calls back for MY BIOPSY RESULTS. It might not be important to them but it is to me.
I finally reached the receptionist today and she assured me they would call and they never did.

Everything is clean and everyone shows they genuinely care. They also have revolutionary treatment. I had Basel cell cancer on my face.
