Hi there, I'm Melanie!
Hi! My name is Melanie Sharpley and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Serving under-represented patients in the Las Vegas area is my passion and improving mental health care access to all communities has always been my top priority.
My approach
I prefer to use a more personable and humanistic approach to mental healthcare, taking into consideration the entire presentation of the patient.
My focus
I have provided efficient and culturally competent care to patients regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation. I have experience dealing with conditions such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, neurodivergence, etc.
My communication style
I aim to create a warm and welcoming environment for my patients, and hope that those I treat feel safe opening up under my care!
My journey to mental healthcare
I began my career working as a registered nurse on a 50-bed psychiatric adolescent unit at the age of 22. I then went on to receive a Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of South Alabama all while working as charge nurse at a newly designed inpatient facility. I now have over ten years of psychiatric experience and work in the mental health field. Helping patients reach a place of stability and understanding into their own mental health treatment drives me to do this work!

During our first session we will complete a mental health initial evaluation which will help determine if we are a good fit for each other and discuss treatment options and goals.
