She helps you feel comfortable with sharing to best manage your mental and emotional health. She is compassionate in providing comprehensive mental health services to all ages. Melissa's role as a PMHNP includes medication manager, therapist, educator, and mental health advocate. With more than 18 years of counseling and nursing experience, Melissa provides clients with medication management, incorporates various therapeutic techniques to improve mental health. MEDICATION PRESCRIBING: Thriveworks providers do not prescribe opioid use disorder medications, weight-loss medications, injectable psychiatric medications, long-term benzodiazepines, or sleep medications, though these may be prescribed short-term for existing clients when clinically appropriate. Controlled substances, including ADHD stimulants, are available only in select states.
