Marriage and Family Therapist
CA
Life has a way of overwhelming even the strongest among us. When anxiety, stress, trauma, or major life shifts begin to disconnect you from yourself, therapy can help you slow down, make sense of what you’re feeling, and find your way forward. As a Marriage & Family Therapist Associate with a background in nursing, I take a whole-body, whole-person approach to healing. I help clients understand how their emotions show up physically, how past experiences shape present patterns, and how to build the skills needed to feel grounded, connected, and in control again. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. Whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, grief, postpartum changes, self-esteem issues, or the lingering effects of trauma, I provide a supportive space to explore what’s not working and create meaningful change. I integrate somatic therapy, mindfulness, and evidence-based practices to help clients build awareness, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with their values. You don’t need to have everything figured out to start. If you’re feeling stuck, overstimulated, disconnected, or simply ready for something to be different, I’m here to walk with you through the process. Together, we’ll work toward clarity, confidence, and a life that finally feels like yours again.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I work hard to make our time together feel safe, welcoming, and genuinely collaborative. You’ll never be expected to show up with the “perfect” words or have everything figured out — that’s what we’re here to explore together. My approach is warm, honest, and down-to-earth. I’ll listen closely, help you slow things down, and guide you toward understanding what’s really going on beneath the surface. Because of my background in nursing, I pay close attention to how your body responds to stress and emotions. We’ll look at things through a whole-person lens — mind, body, and lived experience — and work at a pace that feels supportive, not overwhelming. You can expect practical tools, compassionate insight, and a therapeutic space where you can show up exactly as you are. My goal is for you to feel seen, grounded, and empowered. Therapy isn’t about perfection; it’s about progress, connection, and learning to trust yourself again. We’re a team, and I’m here to walk with you through every step of the process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together starts with getting to know you — what you’re experiencing, what you’ve tried, and what you want your life to feel like. In our first few sessions, we’ll slow things down, explore your concerns, and identify the patterns, stressors, or past experiences that may be contributing to how you’re feeling now. This helps us build a clear treatment plan that fits your goals, your pace, and your comfort level. Because of my background in nursing, I pay attention not only to your thoughts and emotions but also to how your body responds to stress and overwhelm. I often integrate somatic tools, mindfulness, and other evidence-based therapies to help you become more grounded and aware of what’s happening internally. As we move forward, sessions usually involve three things: understanding what’s coming up for you, practicing skills that help you regulate and cope, and working through deeper patterns or experiences when you’re ready. I check in often, adjust our approach as needed, and make sure you always feel supported and in control of the process. Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and steady — a place where you can be honest, unpack what’s not working, and build the tools and insight to create real, sustainable change.
