Hi, I am a board-certified psychiatrist with specialty advanced training in psychotherapy based out of North Carolina and Virginia. I hold a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from VCOM in Spartanburg SC, completed residency in psychiatry at VCU Health in Richmond VA, and have engaged myself in continued psychotherapy training through the International Institute of Psychotherapy. I offer traditional medication management to patients seeking medication support. For a limited number of patients, I also am able to provide combined medication management and psychotherapy services.

Dr. Avery listens and works to find solutions to problems within my life. I feel that she is a person who cares about my struggles in life. I don't know what I would have done without Dr. Avery when I was in my pit of despair.
