About Dr. Melvin Ashford

My dream has been to open an innovative clinic for my patients – a small, state-of-the-art clinic with a comfortable and welcoming environment. Minnesota Women’s Care, my new practice, is exactly that. For more than 11 years, I have provided my patients with advanced obstetric and gynecological care, the kind of treatment that’s at the forefront of medical science: robotic surgery, pelvic floor surgery, high-risk pregnancy care, and more. I will continue to provide this high level of care in my new clinic. It’s the approach to care that really sets this new clinic apart. Minnesota Women’s Care has been created for you, the patient. We’ve worked to create a warm and welcoming environment. As a team, we believe in being a true partner with you as you make your healthcare decisions. We believe in taking the time to listen and respond to your concerns without making you feel rushed. We believe in providing individualized care based on your unique needs. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, completed my Doctor of Medicine at Boston University, and finished my residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. This education and training have shaped my commitment to delivering exceptional care. It is exciting to watch the dream of a lifetime take shape.
