I am Memuna Conteh, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the founder and healthcare provider at Hope Academy and Nursing Services Inc. with a background in psychiatric -mental health PMHNP, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to my practice .
My office is designed to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for my patients locating in a private setting with its on entrance . It ensures confidentiality and convenience for those seeking my services. Whether it is an individual counselling sessions or family therapy , my practice style is rooted in empathy , understanding , and evidence -based treatment modalities .
I take a goal- oriented approach to therapy , working collaboratively with each patient to establish clear objectives and develop personalized treatment plans. My ultimate aim is to empower individuals to overcome their challenges, build resilience ,and achieve optimal mental health and well-being. I tailor sessions to personally fit my patients and encourage they are active and take reins during sessions, while I act mainly as a guide or a source of support. No judgements passes on their feelings .
In terms of office hours, I am dedicated to being accessible to my patients . My practice operates on a flexible schedule ,with appointments available throughout the week , including evenings and weekends. I understand the importance of accommodating busy lifestyles and ensuring that my patient can access the care they need when it's most convenient for them.
I am deeply committed to making a positive impact in the lives of my patients and the community at large. Through compassionate care, evidence-based practice, and a focus on holistic wellness. I strive to foster healing , growth and hope in all those I serve .

What is your typical process for working with clients?
Optimum mental health emanates from treating underlying cause of psychiatric disorder and it starts with the client. I educate my clients with regard to their disease process, diagnosis , modalities of treatment and how to take control of their mental and physical health.

She asked me to pay cash even though she took insurance. She called me on the phone and we discussed my need for a thyroid medicine refill and I had all the right forms. She was late to the appointment then said she couldn’t fill my prescription because she is a psych provider but she could refer me to a friend if I was willing to pay cash/out of network. She has no business being on ZocDoc - not because she couldn’t fill the prescription but she said she could then asked for out of network. Do not use her. I believe she is unsafe.

I spoke with Dr. Mimi and let her know that I was not doing well at 11 AM. She promised me that I would be able to pick up my medication this evening. (The same day of my appointment.) She never sent my medicine to the pharmacy or responded to my phone calls and or text messages. For a mental health provider, this is disappointing.

I was pretty skeptical about this website at first, but after reading all the reviews I chose the doctor that had the best reviews as far as being compassionate, good communication, listen to their patients and take their patients plan into consideration. I can say after meeting with my doctor my anxiety was lifted off of my shoulders. She made it very comfortable for me to talk to her and explain what I deal with on a daily basis and with that being said I will continue my journey under her care! I've never had a doctor so passionate not only for the position of being a mental health doctor but also passionate about their patients and their patients needs. I would highly recommend this doctor for anyone out there looking for a doctor to understand you and go by your past diagnosis, medications or even your treatment plan!
