“Dr. Hong and his staff are the lifeguards from the worst symptoms of an oversize abscess and a cyst all accompanied by on the lower back of my neck which I could’ve been hospitalized because of exacerbated infections during my first visit back in early October last year. After the procedure of a temporary pressure release at the end of that Friday, my heart rate was then instantly dropped down to 65 per minute from 120’s perhaps a sign of Sepsis according to the blood pressure monitor before I left my house. I apologize to all of you for the delayed response. In fact, Dr. Hong and his staff are no doubt absolutely exceptional despite I would rather battle a traffic congestion nearly 50 miles away one way if none of any nearby doctors are available right away. Thank you so much for saving my life once again. ”

About Dr. Michael Hong
Michael Hong, MD is a skilled dermatologist at Dermatology Partners, with expertise in both adult and pediatric dermatology. Originally from Arlington, Virginia, and raised in Seoul, Korea, he has made Baltimore, Maryland his home since 2012. Dr. Hong completed his undergraduate studies in Economics at Johns Hopkins University before earning his medical degree from the University of Maryland. He went on to complete his Preliminary Year in Internal Medicine at Sinai Hospital and his Dermatology Residency at the University of Maryland, including training at UMMC and the Baltimore VA.
Dr. Hong is passionate about skin cancer prevention, as well as the medical and surgical treatments of skin cancers. His clinical interests also extend to managing common dermatological conditions such as acne, rosacea, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and hair loss. He enjoys working with patients of all ages, providing comprehensive care tailored to their needs. His diverse interests and commitment to his patients make him a valued member of the Dermatology Partners team.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hong is an avid golfer and weight lifter, and he enjoys traveling.

Office experience was great. Staff was nice and the doctor seemed very nice as well. However he didn't spend much time with me. He also didn't seem to recognize the skin condition or offer concrete suggestions or guidance. It felt like he may have been a bit inexperienced. No idea if that's the case, that's just how it felt.

The office is super clean from the moment you walk in. The front desk and the nurse were both really friendly and welcoming. The doctor noticed my Korean accent and kindly offered to do the consultation in Korean. It made everything so much easier to understand. The doctor was very straightforward, didn’t push any unnecessary treatments, and really cleared up all my worries.
