About Dr. Michael Murphy
As an orthopaedic surgeon, I believe in the importance of holistic treatment for all orthopaedic conditions. My treatment plans consistently incorporate multiple therapies so that the person as a whole will be treated rather than just the injured limb. During my fellowship training I was able to contribute as one of the team physicians for the Detroit Pistons (NBA) and the Detroit Shock (WNBA). Currently, I am the team physician for the Joliet Slammers pro baseball team. These experiences allow me to have a unique understanding of the needs of athletes and best practices for treating sports injuries.
