My name is Dr. Michael Nwandu. I am a dedicated, highly motivated psychiatric nurse practitioner with a Doctorate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Global. I have extensive medication management experience across the lifespan, including ADHD, eating disorders, substance use disorders, OCD, mood disorders, and personality disorders. I believe successful medication management is based on open communication between myself and you, with a strong focus on listening to your concerns and answering all your questions. With multiple years of experience in mental health, when medication is indicated, I believe it is best to start low and go slow. I work closely with therapists as I focus on medication management to treat children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of mental health disorders.

I’m very comfortable with complex, acute, and chronic cases. I also collaborate closely with medical providers to provide comprehensive collaborative care. I’m dedicated in helping individuals return to their optimal level of health in a timely manner

The woman at reception is incredibly rude I did not contact me about the appointment essentially being canceled twice, I showed up both times to a locked dooand light off they need to fix the hours on the app because apparently they do not reflect the actual hours of the office and when you call you go to voice-mail where the box is full and they don't return calls.

Michael Nwandu is AMAZING!!! I am very nervous around psychiatrists after suffering through numerous psychiatrists who were rude, impersonal, unprofessional, and at times unethical. Michael Nwandu put me at ease instantly. He was friendly (he had me laughing and smiling instantly), he took the time to explain why he wanted to have lab tests done, and really communicated through his actions and words that he cared about me as a patient. That coupled with his excellent receptionist who made me feel welcomed and taken care of, means that I will absolutely continue seeing him. I cannot praise him and his staff enough.
