Like him a lot, both for professional expertise and his personal manner
Dr. Schumacher was courteous and professional. The wait time was very short. Highly recommended.
Dr. Schumacher saw me right at my appointment time, but seemed very distracted, asking me the same questions 2-3 times, and repeating himself. I would probably not visit again.
Doctor Schumacher was prompt and personable. His office staff was efficient and friendly. Glad to have found him on ZocDoc.
The appointment was prompt, in fact, it was ahead of schedule. I felt like he was rushed. It felt like a factory. He listened to my issues and prescribed a course of action that is working but I would not go back.
wonderful and efficient
I've been seeing Dr. Schumacher for a number of years. He's always a pleasure to see and he's really been a tremendous help with my foot problems.
I had a great experience with Dr Schumacher. He was professional but warm and was able to explain my condition clearly. He answered my questions and set me up well for next steps.
Dr Schumacher was great. Very prompt and on schedule. I also appreciate his bedside manner - friendly and easy to talk to. Most importantly, he is super real with you; if you don't need to come back, he won't force you to do a follow up. It feels like he cares about patients, not making money. There are also x Rays in house which is great because you don't need to travel and they really look at what could be wrong with your foot.
No wasted time - his assistant took the x-rays first which they have instantly available for him to see - he explained what was going on - laid out treatment plans from conservative to aggressive - took time to answer questions - electronically sent off a scrip before I even had my shoes back on. Run, don't walk, to see him if you need a foot doc.
Dr. Schumacher is a warm, caring, conscientious physician. He is an extremely proficient podiatric surgeon, and an excellent diagnostician. He is conservative in his approach, and does not recommend or subject his patients to unnecessary procedures. I would highly recommend him without any reservations.
He was exceedingly knowledgeable, personable, and professional. He was a big help to me. I highly recommend him.
Great foot doctor. Took care of the problem with my foot.
Very business-like but also approachable in his manner. Took the time to explain things and answer questions.
I love Dr Schumacher. He has a wonderful beside manner and really knows his stuff. I had plantar fasciitis. He said I needed orthotics but didn't push hard since it is a big expense. So we went through several lesser treatments and eventually arrived at the decision to get orthotics. As he predicted, the orthotics cured the problem. I would recommend to anyone.
My new orthotics have done wonders - plus he's a terrific guy and very fun to talk to.
I feel confident that I am getting honest and worthwhile information.
Dr. Schumacher always listens to me and decides his course of treatment based on careful tests and exam to insure the best outcome.
Excellent - great dr, punctual - explains things clearly and kindly, and has a sense of humor. Assisting staff are great too - an excellent dr.
So efficient. Excellent service. No waiting and he was very professional and knowledgeable and I was very impressed.
He was friendly, cordial and accomodating. However, a doctor asking you questions and typing on the computer can make you feel only so engaged. A little more eye contact would have been nice. Also, i do have some other rather obvious issues with my feet but was super surprised that a thorough exam was not given. I'm in sales and i would be looking for other issues to treat. :)
Terrific doctor with excellent bedside manner, as well as being knowledgeable. So glad to have found him!
Dr. Schumacher is very quick and professional (I wouldn't describe him as warm, but rather his manner is straight-forward and he "tells it like it is"). He didn't sugar cote that a removal process would be painful, but he did seem clear about what the most effective solution would be and was confident and informative (it ended up working). He's a cool/chill guy, who seems to "know his stuff". My favorite part of working with Dr. Schumacher, however, has absolutely been his front-desk assistant Nancy, she is polite and friendly and very courteous (on the phone and in person). Last week, due to weather, she had to reschedule me, and was never pushy or cold and confirmed my change in time with a chipper "perfect" or a "beautiful". It's just such a change from some of the "personalities" you come up against in the medical front desk assistant process (in NYC). She is the 5-star part of this review.
Personable, clear and down to earth. Really liked him.
Excellent bedside manner and treated with white glove service. Highly recommend
I greatly appreciated his honesty in advising me NOT to get new orthopedics as it was not usually covered by insurance and not really needed. Otherwise, a brief but informative consultation!
Excellent doctor who took time to explain all my options and help me pick the right option for me.
Dr. Schumacher is a wonderful practitioner. He is informative, professional and kind.
Very courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I was seen within 15 minutes of arriving. Very skilled & gentle hands, the procedure did not hurt! I highly recommend this doctor.
Very professional, handled my situation immediately and gave me advice going forward. The wait was maybe 5 minutes and I would go back.
Dr. Schumacher is extremely personable and makes you feel very comfortable. I never have to wait long to see him and his receptionist is very friendly. His approach to treatment seems very practical and straightforward.
Team was professional and he was informative and had a great bedside manner. Answered all my questions. He even took a few minutes extra to chat about overall health, diet and general wellness.
A very pleasant doctor and is conservative about pushing treatment which I like.
Very nice doctor. Respectful, easy to talk with. Front desk staff seemed generally annoyed at life, but the doctor was pleasant and kind.
I think Dr. Schumacher is very personable and very thorough. He is knowledgeable and makes quick, assessments as well as incorporates making sure you understand his rationale. I am very glad I found him.
Dr. Michael Schumacher was very personable, knowledgeable and professional. I appreciated everything about him. My visit was thorough, not rushed in any way. He explained everything that I needed to know and gave me insight into my issue today. I am very glad I chose to see him. The office and staff were pleasant also.
He was very personable and seemed great though I was particularly thrilled with the orthotics he had made for me.
I sprained my foot over the weekend and when it wasn't feeling any better monday AM, I made a same-day appointment. Dr. Schumacher was very friendly, professional and helpful. I was seen quickly, they took X-rays and developed them on-the-spot which was nice.
Dr. Schumacher was very helpful, as was his staff. Worked around some unusual health issues with no complaint.
Staff was courteous and efficient. Doctor was thorough.
I was satisfied
Good doctor - very knowledgeable. Very nice, very professional.
I was 5 minutes late to my appointment due to traffic! I hate being late, and apologized for being late. The office personnel and Dr. Schumacher himself were very understanding.
Dr Schumaker was awesome. KNew exactly what my problem was, gave me great advice on how to treat it, and took care of my problem. Highly recommend seeing him if you have any foot pain what-so-ever!
Nice guy who seemed to be very competent.
Very caring and professional.
Pleased that I found someone who was thorough and took the time to explain my condition.
Excellent, knowledgeable, and friendly. I've seen numerous podiatrists previously, and I scheduled surgery with Dr. Schumacher right away.
great doctor -- did an xray right away and figured out my toe was broken (instead of just bruised). office was easy to get to from my office.
Dr. Schumacher is a highly competent, conscientious, and caring physician. Simply stated, he is the best!
Dr. Schumacher was terrific! He took a real interest in caring for my daughter and he was thorough and efficient and has a great rapport with patients and families. I recommend him highly!
Very professional, informative & instructive.
Dr Schumacher was extremely thorough and knowledgeable. I will certainly return to him in the future.
Very personable and and gave me good info. I didn't feel rushed at all. There was a mistake w/ my appointment but he saw me anyway on short notice.
Dr. Schumacher is both a first class physician and a first class human being. I consider myself fortunate to be his patient, and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need of a podiatric surgeon.
As a tough and picky New Yorker, (having lived here over 25 years,) I was thrilled to find Dr. Schumacher! He's everything you want in all of your doctors: an expert in his field, a good listener, and patient... you can feel relaxed in your appointment rather than being rushed out the door so he can get to the next appointment, and he's gentle! I saw him for a painful problem and I didn't feel a pinch of pain while he corrected my problem! If you are reading this because you need a podiatrist, do not hesitate to see this doctor. Oh, and his office manager, Nancy, is great! A+ all the way around.
Recently I've my foot pain has progressed that I can no longer run. My goal is to get back into exercising and back running. Dr. Schumacher listened to my issues, evaluated all of my symtoms (multiple problems with foot) and advised on both an immediate and extended strategy. To early to tell if the treatment will work but I've been through a few DPMs and this is the first doc I came out of with a good feeling.
