About Dr. Michael Tyler
Michael Tyler, MD, a New York City native, spent his undergraduate years at State University of New York (SUNY) Albany, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He returned to NYC for medical school at New York University (NYU) School of Medicine where he was first introduced to the exciting and expanding field of urology. His urology residency training was completed in Brooklyn, New York at SUNY Downstate with further specialization in urologic oncology as a clinical fellow at the John Wayne Cancer Institute (JWCI) in Santa Monica, California.
Dr. Tyler is excited to return to the east coast, bringing his expertise in the diagnosis, treatment and management of all urologic cancers including cancers of the prostate, kidney, bladder, and testis. Oncology has been a primary interest of Dr. Tyler’s since his early stages of training. In fellowship, he co-authored a textbook chapter on robotic-assisted surgery while also being involved in cutting edge translational prostate cancer research at the JWCI. He is also an active member in the American Urological Association (AUA). Furthermore, he remains continuously motivated to bring the current trends in urologic cancer management with care and compassion to each and every one of his patients.
Dr. Tyler is delighted to offer his Southeast Florida patients the option of top quality, minimally invasive robotic-assisted surgery using the da Vinci Surgical System. He has performed and assisted in hundreds of both oncologic and reconstructive cases, a significant portion of them under the first-hand guidance of his mentor and world class robotic surgeon, Dr. Timothy Wilson. Never saw a doctor even when the appointment was with Dr Tyler, i was seen by a PA. I was never informed of the change. I expect to see the Dr. that I made the appointment with not some random PA. I did not feel comfortable felt that I did not matter to the Dr. as no one advised me of the change.

To Dr, Tyler and Management,
The incompetence of the office staff and the associated scheduling, coordination with the patients other doctors and specialists, appointment cancellations, messaging, response's, to the patient/customer relations and overall communications are abominable.
No less then 5 times did I cancel my latest appointment, in advance, using your website, email and telephone calls in response to messages received.
Your failure to coordinate and transmit test results, in a timely manner or proper requests for patient services to be rendered resulted in repeated cancelation of patient appointments and rescheduling that added more then a month to treatment, and in fact total cancellation of required health care for patient!
I will be sure to post a copy of this review in all appropriate internet sights available to the public.

It was my first visit. I never saw the doctor, but I was examined and tested by his very capable staff. They saw a kidney stone and prescribed a CatScan. They gave me an appointment for after I have that scan at which time, I will see DR. Tyler. Overall, his associates were excellent, and I was very satisfied.

Everyone was very friendly and nice, I waited more than 40 minutes doing nothing until I got a tablet with million questions, a thing which was ok unless I didn’t had to wait doing it, it suppose to be first thing as I come, not after a long waistless waiting to do so, after that it took another 20 minutes until I saw the doc..

Zero bedside manner. Didn’t introduce himself or ask my name. Didn’t seem to have reviewed paperwork I filled out TWICE. Kept turning away while asking questions. Felt dismissed when it was over (less than ten minutes). And, no real solution or suggestion he might research it further.

Very unresponsive. Left 7 messages in a week and no return phone call. Finally my provider called and the doctor called back. Refused to give me my lab results. Got defensive because I questioned him and asked why he didn't even examine me.
