Dr. Michal Schimmel joined The Family Hearing Center team in 2021. Prior to this, she spent seven years working as a clinical audiologist at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, where she was able to provide a variety of diagnostic and rehabilitative services and work with graduate students as a clinical preceptor. She had the opportunity to contribute to audiology research while she completed her Doctorate of Audiology at University of Maryland, College Park and as part of a short-term research training grant at Boys Town National Research Hospital. Dr. Schimmel states: “I enjoy interacting with my patients and am grateful to be in a profession that allows me to positively impact the community. I am excited to have joined a team of practitioners and staff members who truly care about the work they do.”
