My name is Michayala Bush, and I'm a Board Certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Master's in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Valdosta State University. Since 2013, I have specialized in mental health, treating patients in state mental facilities, correctional facilities, crisis centers, and community mental health settings.
I specialize in depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, and behavioral issues.
I practice a patient-centered approach by incorporating my patients and addressing all their areas of concern to reach their desired outcomes.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Clients can expect to feel heard, gain a sense of hope and clarity with their diagnosis and treatment plan, as well as feeling encouraged to continue their mental health journey.
I also want clients to understand the importance of collaboration with counselors and/or therapy for treatment, and the importance of utilizing coping skills with the use of medication.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Let me start off my saying that I enjoyed my session. This was my first time ever but NP Bush made me very comfortable. After ten minutes it felt like I was talking with a friend. She is highly recommended, I look forward to my next appointment. If you are thinking about therapy go for it, don’t be afraid. It felt good being able to talk to someone outside of my inner circle. I truly needed this.
