Getting to know Michelle Paul

I am a dual board-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, licensed in Florida. I aim to provide care to adults with mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression, that is rooted in empathy and collaboration with a strong emphasis on building trust and promoting resilience. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, and medication management to support lasting emotional wellness. My approach to providing mental health care is compassionate, empathetic, and client-centered. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healing journey. I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, values, and goals, working collaboratively to promote emotional well-being and resilience. The most common theoretical approaches I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns and Mindfulness-Based Strategies to increase present-moment awareness and reduce distress. I work with adult patients experiencing a range of mental health concerns, with a primary focus on those managing anxiety, insomnia, and depression. I am most comfortable treating individuals facing generalized anxiety, panic disorders, insomnia, and various forms of depressive disorders, including major depressive disorder. Many of my patients are navigating life transitions and stress, and I take a supportive, individualized approach to help them regain balance, build coping skills, and improve overall functioning. I consistently strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative environment where patients feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard. My sessions are guided by empathy, openness, and a deep commitment to meeting each person where they are in their journey. I aim to help my patients feel comfortable sharing with me, while building confidence in their ability to heal and grow.
